You can mark hot leads in Salesgem in two ways:
- change the lead’s status to Sales Opportunity,
- configure specific Lead Statuses as Hot Lead in Settings → Lead Management → Lead Status.
Step-by-step guide
Method 1: Mark a single lead as Hot by changing status to “Sales Opportunity”
- Go to Leads from the left menu.
- Click Lead Status.

- Select Sales Opportunity from the status list.
Method 2: Treat any status as Hot via Settings (applies to many leads)
Go to Settings.

Open Lead Management → Lead Status.

Pick the status you want to flag .

Click Edit, then enable Mark as Hot Lead (or equivalent toggle).

Save your changes.
In Salesgem, you can flag hot leads either by changing an individual lead’s status to Sales Opportunity or by configuring system-wide rules that mark certain statuses as hot in Settings → Lead Management → Lead Status. The first method is ideal when you want to quickly prioritize a single record from the lead’s detail page; simply switch its status to Sales Opportunity and save.
The second method is best for consistent team-wide behavior: edit any status (like Interested or Demo Scheduled) and turn on Mark as Hot Lead, so every lead in that status is automatically treated as hot. This dual setup gives you flexibility for ad-hoc prioritization and standardized pipeline visibility.
